Honorary Consultant Haematologist

Training and Experience

Dr Jiri Pavlu began his medical career in 1998 after receiving a First Faculty of Medicine from Charles University in Prague and a doctorate of medicine from Charles University and St. George’s Hospital, London. He completed his haematological training at the Royal free and Hammersmith hospitals. Since then he has worked in the Imperial College NHS Trust providing consultant services to St. Mary’s and Hammersmith Hospitals.

Dr Pavlu took the position of Clinical Lead for Acute Leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndromes at Hammersmith Hospital in 2009. He is also the principal investigator of several acute leukaemia and transplantation trials.

Clinical Interests

Dr Jiri Pavlu is an honorary consultant haematologist specialising in general haematology, haemato-oncology and leukaemia as well as bone marrow transplantation and systemic anti-cancer therapy.
