Consultant cardiologist, Honorary clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College London
Dr Rajdeep Khattar qualified at the University of Southampton Medical School, before his specialist training in cardiology in North West London.
This included three years of clinical research in the fields of:
- cardiovascular imaging
- ischaemic heart disease
- heart failure.
This was followed by comprehensive training in both advanced echocardiography and percutaneous coronary intervention.
He joined Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust from Manchester Heart Centre. He is a consultant cardiologist and is also an honorary clinical senior lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
Dr Rajdeep Khattar has more than 10 years’ experience as a consultant cardiologist. He has a particular interest in coronary artery disease, valvular disease and heart failure.
He has extensive experience in clinical cardiology, particularly the use of advanced echocardiography techniques to diagnose and manage patients with suspected cardiac conditions.
He is experienced in procedures including:
- stress and contrast echocardiography
- transoesophageal echocardiography
- 3D echocardiography
- coronary angioplasty
- stent implantation
- intravascular ultrasound.
