Once the customer services team has confirmed your initial appointment, you will receive a letter containing the details of the consultation including the time, date, your consultant's name, and directions to the hospital.

Your appointment

When you come in for your first appointment at our private outpatients' department, we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes early.

Let the reception staff know that you have arrived. They will ask you to confirm your appointment details, to check your identity. You will then need to complete some paperwork to confirm your personal details and payment information.

You can a seat in our comfortable waiting area, and help yourself to some refreshments.

Please note, you may also have to complete some tests prior to your appointment - this will be decided by your consultant.

It's the patient's responsibility to ensure that your appointment is paid for.

  • If you are insured, you will be required to provide your insurer's details, your membership number and your pre-authorisation number. You will need to contact your insurer directly to obtain your pre-authorisation number.
  • If you are covered by your embassy, you will need to provide a letter of guarantee from your embassy stating what costs they will cover.
  • If you are a self-funding patient, payment will be taken by the reception staff once all tests and consultations are completed.
