Clinical expertise

Dr Tito Kabir specialises in percutaneous coronary intervention, such as fitting stents or heart valve repair or replacement. He carries out both stable and emergency coronary angioplasty via the radial (wrist) approach.

Dr Kabir is a lead member of the transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) programme at Harefield Hospital. In this role, he assesses, prepares and undertakes TAVI procedures, which are completed percutaneously - by inserting a catheter through a keyhole incision.

At Harefield Hospital, Dr Kabir actively participates in the primary angioplasty programme and has championed the radial route of access for treating heart attacks. He is also developing a renal denervation programme at Harefield Hospital for the treatment of resistant hypertension (high blood pressure).
